I usually avoid any manipulation, even cropping... I usually look at the slide and get the scanned version to match in terms of colour... most of the time I edit the saturation and sharpness...
Also levels to get any unwanted casts added by scanning...

I got a Canon 8400F flatbed scanner... it's alright, best I could get without breaking the bank!

i live in durban, berea area
we should go on a photo trip some time.
i dont mind what the subject is really just not wildlife in the safari TOOO cliche :P we got better wildlife in the cbd.

lol plenty of predators, yeah wildlife isnt my thing either man, long exposures, sunrises... crazy colours...

we must go shooting sometime indeed, u shoot a D70 right?

woah i wish i owned a D70 ! :D ! :jump:
I just got myself a Panasonic Lumix FZ5 digital camera purely to learn on and to better myself at photography as a hobby.
I've explored a little architecture and street photography but not much and im pretty much open to anything to learn on.

can see when my work load eases down from tech and can organise a days outing somewhere intresting :)

thats a great camera to start on, really great lense! I started on a Fuji S5000, then bought a film SLR, the Canon 3000V then got myself an 1V-HS...

I'm working and studying at the moment so my schedule is flippin crazy...
